 Economic Damage Calculations

Economic Damage Calculations involve forensic investigation and analysis to determine the financial amount of loss, at a level acceptable to the legal system.  Qualified forensic accountants are able to develop and provide attorneys with pertinent financial data and a variety of approaches to successfully resolve claims, disputes, and litigation.

Karen Fine has the experience to look beyond the numbers and deal with the business reality of situations involving suspected, actual, or anticipated economic damages.  She will give knowledgeable advice throughout the litigation process to ascertain and develop key financial information.  Karen can provide Expert Witness testimony and trial assistance, supported by comprehensive analysis, to assist the direct or cross examination process.

Karen has testified as an Expert Witness in Charleston County.  She is a Certified Public Accountant and is licensed by the South Carolina Board of Accountancy.  Karen was also licensed by the Texas State Department of Public Accountancy, but no longer practices in the state of Texas.   She served on the Board of Certified Fraud Examiners, Dallas, Texas Chapter, in the position of Secretary.  Karen has successfully completed coursework and the examination for the designation of Certified Forensic Financial Analyst.
